PROJECT EXPERIENCE
GC-MS analysis system: Designed, developed and implemented a highly effective analysis, utilized GC and MS to determine the fatty acid composition and the molecular structure of individual compounds in corn products.
HPLC-MS analysis system: Complete design and implementation of a HPLC analysis system to do the quantitative analysis of isomers of Conjugated Linoleic Acids in Tortillas Products. Participation in the method development in differentiating the double-bond geometric positions of lycopene by HPLC-MS. Explored and presented the functional components of tomato and methods used in HPLC analysis.
Chinese Beef Grading System: Assisted in the establishment of Chinese Beef Grading System. Utilized GC techniques to explore the flavor components in raw and processed meat.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Fully in charge of the lab instructions in the FOOD ANALYSIS undergraduate course, 2002.
