I graduated with a BS in Comprehensive Biology (1995) from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, then joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1997) and graduated with MS in Food Science and Technology in (1999). During my MS studies I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for my department, conducting research and at the same time pursuing my MS degree. I was then employed by Cargill Inc., in Eddyville Iowa as a Quality Assurance Chemist (2000-2001), the Vitamin E division.
