The manager will work within the central purchasing department to effectively oversee all purchasing agents to maximize value on all aspects of equipment purchasing, related project expenditures and ensure timely delivery in accordance with the company’s master development plan for all new, remodeled and upgraded stores. Salary range is $85–95K and a performance incentive program targeted at 20% of the base salary. Position Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing grocery related equipment within the supermarket industry Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or significant business experience Knowledge of equipment purchasing policies, procedures and standards Experience in equipment negotiation and procurement Ability to coordinate and manage multiple store projects and costing Experience in new, remodel and upgrade store projects Knowledge of external vendor resources for installations and equipment sourcing Able to oversee multiple detailed projects Strong delegating and follow-through skills
