This job opening is for one position in the Sales Department. This job is located in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay). This is not an entry-level position, but rather for somebody with sales experience,in the food industry. Depending on the candidate, the position will focus on Inside Sales, Export Sales, or a combination of both. The candidate will report directly to the Assistant Manager of U.S. Sales/Export Sales. The first three to six months will be a training and acculturation period. During this period, the candidate will spend time working in other departments (processing, packing, boxing, shipping), in addition to learning his/her main duties. This will enable him/her to get to know the main people in the other departments, learn about our products, and understand the whole manufacturing process from start to finish. American Inside Sales: · Expand into new domestic markets by finding new brokers. · Oversee new and existing brokers. Export Sales: · Expand customer base in Europe and South America through direct contact with potential customers. · Conduct research on new markets. · Go on periodic business trips to visit current and potential customers. · Attend trade shows and/or go on business trips. This includes coordination and preparation beforehand, and reporting afterwards.
