Position: Director Scientific and Regulatory Affairs POSITION SUMMARY Under general direction of Senior Director – Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, this position is responsible for the effective and orderly development, maintenance and issuance of company’s technical product documentation and serve as a liaison to company technical personnel as well as customers on products. · Responsible for the safety and regulatory compliance of flavors produced by the Flavor Division. · Ensure that all flavors sampled/sold by comapny are properly labeled, and have received Kosher certification as necessary. · Supervise the preparation of MSDS's for all sampled/sold flavors. · Respond to all technical inquiries from customers involving the safety and/or regulatory compliance of WILD flavors worldwide. · Prepare and monitor BATF drawback application for flavors. · Monitor all domestic activities related to flavors, foods and beverages. Assess and manage potential impact of any regulatory changes or safety issues on selling flavors, as well as future product development. · Directly supervise regulatory staff in meeting established objectives; prioritize projects to meet internal and external deadlines. · Work with US government regulatory agencies including FDA, USDA, and BATF. · Represent company at selected trade association meetings. Education & Experience: · Minimum BS, MS preferred in food science or chemistry. · Minimum 10 years experience in managing Regulatory or quality control for a flavor, food or beverage company. Must include labelling, Kosher certification and preparation of MSDS's. Direct experience working with FDA, USDA, and BATF preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Familiarity with Lotus Notes, Oracle or other systems/programs a plus. Send resume by fax 407-679-0998 email Resabase@aol.com
