mustard flavour in cabbage

I would like to get a feeling if anyone has run into the problem of overpowering flavour of mustard, both hot and bitter, in cabbage. Normally have a sweet flavour to the cabbage but the past few weeks has seen an increase in the strength of the mustard profile. Does anyone have a suggestion on the cause and a solution to this problem. Many Thanks in Advance.
