Respected Sir, Please excuse me for intruding myself in your valuable time for a few minutes. Let me introduce myself in brief. I am Arkaprovo Chakrabarty pursuing MBA from Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata under West Bengal University of Technology. I have done my graduation on IT (i.e., Bachelor in Information Technology) under MAHE, Karnataka. My key areas include programming, web application, Oracle, Software Project Management, etc. My average percentage of mark in graduation is 75%. I also got 99% (scored highest in our college) in our final semester project of my graduation. At present I am in my second semester of my MBA course. We have all total 4 semesters in MBA course. Summer training session as per our college schedule is May-July, 2004. Although our college will provide summer training to us but we are also free to choose our own areas of interest. Currently in second semester. ------------------------------------------------ PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN PROJECT TITLE: Zoomin.com (A website project) The objective of the project is aimed at achieving the concept of making and surfing commercial websites i.e. shopping, logging in with specified password and user name, opening an e-mail account, viewing pages with hyperlinks, interactivity with the visitors with utmost ease, consistency, security, etc. dynamically. --- Rco Word (An utility software) It is a rich text processor and editor with auto document recovery function, has a personal diary, with an alarm, has the ability to protect a document by encryption and decryption, and got a built in music file player and has many more attractive features including memory resource meter. It can monitor inputs of the user and flashes a pop up message delivering useful tips. This seems as if it has AI. It has also got a registration option by which user can register the product by his/her name. Though it has so many useful features I intentionally made it small in size, compact and efficient. --- Artificial Intelligence (Thesis) It’s a thesis on Artificial Intelligence. I researched it for-First, to get an overall and general idea of Artificial Intelligence, secondly a proper presentation of the material, and thirdly and more importantly to make the thesis complete by incorporating useful topics. My goal is to offer a limited number of exemplary, non-technical resources that I have organized and annotated to provide with meaningful access to basic, technical and understandable information about the AI universe. ------------------------------------------------ ACHIEVEMENTS 1. In 1995, I was selected to participate in the Science Quiz Contest (zone stage) conducted by the Science Centerer, New Delhi and received award certificate. 2. In the same year 1995, I was again selected to participate in International Competitions for Schools (science) organized by The University of New South Wales, Australia and received achievement award. 3. In 1996, I passed the third Special All India General Knowledge Test conducted all over India by the All India Board of General Knowledge Test, a wing of USO, on January 27. 4. In March 26, 2002 my poem got selected by The International Library of Poetry and I was invited to attend The International Society of Poet’s Convection and Symposium in Washington DC. 5. In 2003 I got through Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by the autonomous body AIMA (All India Management Association) held in December 2002. ------------------------------------------------ HOBBIES My areas of interests include: Reading books and magazines, Computers and computer programming, Analyzing electronic equipments and circuits, Internet surfing and listening to music. ------------------------------------------------ ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION 1. I have designed and developed some software in Visual Basic namely Rco Text Recognizer- this program recognizes a character through free-hand drawing using some AI.
