McDonald's, the world's largest hamburger chain, said U.S. sales rose 6.3% last month, the biggest surge in four years, driven by demand for Happy Meals and new items like salads with Newman's Own dressings. Shares of McDonald's surged 9.2% to a nine-month high of $21.06.
