| Description |
Summary:
The Plant Accountant has primary responsibility for analysis of production reporting including variances and associated product costing, inventory control oversight of the Company¡¦s manufacturing and warehousing facilities in our PA facility and other smaller facilities as may be assigned by the Corporate Controller. This position reports to the Sr. Cost Accounting Manager with a dotted line responsibility to the Director of Operations responsible for the facility.
Representative Duties:
„X Oversee production reporting, including labor, material usage and formula variance. Work closely with plant management to address deficiencies in reporting affecting inventory accuracy and product costing.
„X Analyze and report on all plant related monthly financial results. Prepare plant reporting package for management, including operational comments both historical and forward looking.
„X Review/prepare Authorizations for Fixed Asset Expenditures requests for the facility/s, ensuring compliance with capital spending policies, and if applicable, lease accounting rules and policies.
„X Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy. Lead accounting role in physical inventory and cycle count program summarizing results and progress made in improving accuracy. Audit key inventory transactions including receipts, shipments and production reporting. Work with plant management to identify root cause of deviations and take corrective actions.
„X Oversee reconciliation of billing/truck locations as well as stock transfer in transits.
„X Work closely with Operations to validate product costing based on actual production runs. Work with InfoTech and Cost Accounting Manager on proposed changes.
„X Supervise processing of invoices to corporate accounts payable department assuring accurate and timely processing of all invoices. Provide feedback to Corporate on any month end accruals, including temp labor or unusual expenditures.
„X Utilize Business Objects to provide daily Operational dashboard on KPI¡¦s (Key Performance Indicators)

Qualifications:
„X Bachelor¡¦s Degree in Accounting
„X Two years accounting in a manufacturing environment
„X Direct supervisory experience
„X Proficient computer skills including Excel and Business Objects or other Report Writer system.
„X Willing/able to travel as needed (under 10%)
